The RocketStor 6661A-mSAS3 is a portable, high-performance Hardware RAID solution for Thunderbolt™ 3 capable platforms. Powered by our industry proven Hardware RAID stack, and featuring two industry-standard external Mini-SAS ports (SFF-8088), the RocketStor 6661A-mSAS3 can directly support up to eight SAS/SATA drives and 112TB of storage in one or more RAID configurations. The lightweight, small-footprint external chassis and built-in hardware RAID support is ideal for on-the-go media professionals, and was designed for use with portable or compact Thunderbolt™ 3 capable computing platforms including MacBooks, iMacs, Mac minis, desktop replacements and mini-PC’s.
HighPoint’s proven hardware RAID architecture incorporates dedicated processing and caching resources to maximize the performance of professional storage applications. This allows the RocketStor 6661A-mSAS3 to operate independently in order to minimize the impact of storage related I/O on the host system.
Unique to our hardware RAID solutions, DV Mode Technology intelligently manages the flow of large data blocks and write-back caching to minimize latency and ensure consistent, sustained high-performance transfers for professional media applications.
Like all HighPoint Thunderbolt™ 3 I/O Solutions, the RocketStor 6661A-mSAS3 was designed with simplicity and ease of use in mind. Customers can quickly add up to eight 6Gb/s SAS/SATA ports and robust hardware RAID capability to any Thunderbolt™ 3 capable Mac or PC using a single cable connection. The ultra-slim enclosure includes a pre-installed SAS/SATA Hardware RAID controller, and extensive driver support is available for both Windows and Mac platforms.
The RocketStor 6661A-mSAS3 includes our intuitive web-based management suite which enables users of any experience level to easily configure up to 8 SAS/SATA drives and 112TB of storage into one or more Hardware RAID configurations. A wide-range of pro-active maintenance and monitoring capabilities work ensure the health of RAID storage investments and minimize downtime. With a few simple clicks, users can check available storage capacity, the condition of any arrays and all hosted drives, and enable auto-rebuild and hot spare features that add additional layers of data security to redundant arrays. Users can also schedule maintenance sessions to verify disk integrity, and enable Email notification to inform one or more users of changing storage conditions while outside of the work environment.
