Engineered for enterprise and data center applications, each enclosure leverages Broadcom’s industry leading PEX 88048 PCIe Gen4 Switch IC to deliver up to 28GB/s transfer speed over a single PCIe Gen4 x16 CDFP connection.

The integrated power supply and advanced cooling system isolate the NVMe media from host platform, enhancing reliability and offloading power and thermal loads from the computing environment; ideal for edge platforms that require a fast, high-density enterprise grade storage solution within a minimal hardware footprint.

Dedicated Host to Device PCIe Gen4 x16 Connectivity

Integrated PCIe switching technology and 400Gbps CDFP connectivity enables RocketStor 6542AW enclosures to maximize data transfer speed by fully utilizing all x16 lanes of PCIe bandwidth provided by the host platform.

 

Both the enclosure (device-side) and PCIe adapter (host-side), are equipped with dedicated PCIe switch ICs. This enables each solution to provide x16 lanes of dedicated PCIe Gen4 upstream bandwidth and x4 lanes of dedicated downstream bandwidth to each U.2 or U.3 SSD.

Optimizes Thermal Management

Powerful, low-decibel cooling fans ingest cool air from the outside environment through the ventilated drive bays, circulate it throughout the enclosure, then expel waste heat the rear of the chassis.

Full manual fan-control enable administrators to adjust the cooling system based on ambient conditions, including an option to disable the fan for workflows that demand complete silence.

On the software side, HighPoint NVMe Enclosures leverage our proven SHI (Storage Health Inspector) solution.

 

SHI utilizes SMART technology to log & report the physical characteristics of each SSD, such as temperature, voltage and endurance (Total Bytes Written / Disk Writes per Day).

HighPoint NVMe RAID Enclosures are protected by SafeStorage -  a state-of-the-art data encryption solution for OPAL SSC compliant SED drives and arrays. 

Stored data is automatically locked down whenever storage is unplugged from the AIC, effectively preventing unauthorized access to sensitive information should physical disks be misplaced or stolen.
