HighPoint NVMe RAID Adapters facilitate seamless scalability and upgradeability for NVMe storage configurations, offering cross-compatibility within the same generation family and adjacent PCIe generations. Each adapter is engineered to comply with industry standard enterprise server and datacenter specifications, and can be easily integrated into a wide range of x86 computing platforms. A single adapter can directly host up to eight U.2, U.3 or E3.S SSDs, and as many as 32 devices via backplane connectivity and a selection of certified cabling solutions, which can be configured into as many as 4 separate RAID 0, 1 or 10 arrays or utilized as individual drives.

Advanced Cooling Solutions
HighPoint NVMe RAID adapters employ advanced hardware cooling solutions, tailored for each PCIe generation of 2.5" NVMe media. Comprised of full-Length Aluminum heat exchangers and/or low-decibel fans with ventilated brackets, the systems are engineered to maximize the reliability and endurance of NVMe controller hardware and the Broadcom Switch ICs. The lack of moving parts and zero maintenance requirements are ideal for professional server and datacenter environments.
Gen5 models feature an innovative copper piping system designed to rapidly whisk waste heat away from the PEX 89048 switch IC and controller componentry to further promote longevity of the adapter hardware.
On the software side, HighPoint NVMe RAID AICs leverage our proven SHI (Storage Health Inspector) solution.
SHI utilizes SMART technology to log & report the physical characteristics of each SSD, such as temperature, voltage and endurance (Total Bytes Written / Disk Writes per Day).
HighPoint SafeStorage SED Solution
HighPoint PCIe Gen5 and Gen4 NVMe RAID Adapters are protected by SafeStorage - a state-of-the-art data encryption solution for OPAL SSC compliant SED drives and arrays.
Stored data is automatically locked down whenever storage is unplugged from the AIC, effectively preventing unauthorized access to sensitive information should physical disks be misplaced or stolen.

HighPoint NVMe RAID Adapters are designed interface with a variety of industry standard storage chassis, including internal 2.5” drive bays, Mobile Racks, and storage backplanes via a selection of certified cabling solutions.
These include direct to SSD connections such SFF-8639 (U.2/U.3 SSD), and SFF-TA-1002 (E3.S SSDs). Options for backplane/mobile rack connectivity include MCIO (Gen5), SFF-8654 (Gen4), and SFF-8643 (Gen3).
