Compliant with Industry Standard Server & Rackmount Chassis: Rocket 7600 adapters are LP-MD2 form factor PCIe devices, are compliant with VPP (Virtual Pin Point) and UBM (Universal Backplane Management) backplane specifications, and SFF-9402 cable and port connectivity for industry-standard 2.5” drive chassis and NVMe media.

Field Replaceable Units (FRU): Rocket 7600 series Pro-Class RAID AICs and adapters are field replaceable units (FRU). This enables service providers to easily procure replacements with the correct model/hardware version combination.

Advanced Technology and  Set Maximizes Performance and Data Security

Rocket 7600 Series Pro-Class PCIe Gen5 x16 NVMe RAID AICs and Adapters are engineered to enhance the productivity and storage performance of a today’s most data-intensive applications. In addition to matching the capabilities of our Rocket 1600 series Switch AICs and Adapters, Rocket 7600 Pro-Class RAID Solutions can host as many 4 independent RAID 0, 1 or 10 arrays, including bootable volumes. Advanced features including Hot-Swap & Hot-Plug capability, comprehensive RAID storage management and monitoring suite, an integrated Environmental Sensor & Logging solution, and, proven data encryption technology enable administrators to fine tune NVMe storage configurations for a wide range of high-performance workflows.

Comprehensive Storage Health Monitoring, Management & Analysis Suite

Rocket 7600 series solutions are equipped with HighPoint’s intuitive yet comprehensive monitoring, management and analysis suite, which enables administrators to easily configure and maintain the platform’s NVMe storage ecosystem with a few simple clicks and commands. The package consists of our WebGUI and CLI management utilities for OS-level administration, and a host of pre-OS level tools in the form of OOB (out-of-band) management, HII and UEFI. RAID arrays created using these interfaces will be recognized as single, physical disks, which can be partitioned and formatted as desired, using the host OS’s standard storage management interface.

True Hot-Plug & Hot-Swap Capability

Rocket 7600 series Adapters are capable of providing true NVMe SSD Hot-Swap and Hot-Plug capability; an essential feature of professional server and datacenter platform. The adapters utilize a technique known as Synthetic Hierarchy to isolate the host operating system from any PCIe topology changes (physical changes) and any events associated with the sudden addition or removal of an NVMe device. The technology enables the technician or administrator to safely add or remove individual SSDs or RAID arrays without rebooting the OS or powering down the host system, via set of simple commands issued from the WebGUI or CLI management tools.

Online RAID Roaming Technology

HighPoint Online Roaming technology enables NVMe RAID configurations to be moved from one AIC or Adapter to another without putting your data assets at risk - all exiting logical volumes will remain intact and accessible; no reconfiguration is required.

Integrated LCD Indication & Alert System

Rocket 7600 Series Pro-Class RAID AICs and Adapters feature built-In early warning LED Indicators, integrated on the left-side of the PCB and viewable through the PCIe bracket. This intuitive system enables a field technician to instantly asses the operational status and condition of NVMe storage, and is designed to work in conjunction with the RAID management suite. The AIC/Adapter will initiate simple color coding and flashing patterns to convey the current status of various hardware attributes, such as the strength of the PCIe connection, status of hosted NVMe SSDs and RAID arrays, and any temperature warnings reported by SHI and the hardware cooling system.

OOB Management

Rocket 7600 series adapters provide OOB (out-of-band) management support, which is an essential component of professional-grade server infrastructure. MBC & MCTP over PCIe enables an administrator to securely interface with the adapter without the need for internet access. The service is scalable and can be used to administrate multiple servers via Linux command prompts to manage storage in both Pre-OS and OS-level environments.

SafeStorage - OPAL SED Solution

Developed to accommodate large-scale RAID arrays as well as individual SSDs, SafeStorage is a comprehensive OPAL SSC TCG based NVMe Hardware Encryption Solution designed to safeguard critical assets by preventing access to stored data when physical disks are misplaced or stolen.

Environmental Sensor & Logging Solution

Enhance Data Integrity and Operational Efficiency with Advanced Environmental Monitoring, Logging & Analysis

HighPoint’s advanced Environmental Sensor and Logging Solution is integrated into the WebGUI Management Tool and will automatically track and log the temperature and power consumption of the AIC/Adapter and hosted NVMe media. This type of behavioral data is especially useful for data-intensive applications that require storage capable of operating at peak I/O for extended durations, and can be used to optimize and troubleshoot NVMe storage, and fine-tune configurations to maximize performance and reliability by examining SSD behavior during peak I/O.

Key Features:

Real-Time Monitoring: sensors are polled every 60 seconds, and data is immediately logged and presented on screen in Real-Time.Monitoring: sensors are polled every 60 seconds, and data is immediately logged and presented on screen in Real-Time.

Historical Data Logging: Detailed logs of environmental attributes are recorded in blocks of 5-Working days. This data can prove to be invaluable when diagnosing past issues and devising ways to improve performance and efficiency.

Easy-to-Read Graphs & Line charts: Data is presented via a selection of easy-to-read graphs and line charts which present the temperature, power consumption and fan behavior of all connected NVMe SSDs and host AIC/Adapter.
