Rocky Linux
The Rocky Linux project was created in 2021 in response to the discontinuation of CentOS. Though privately owned, it is maintained and developed as an open, non-profit alternative to RHEL. Like CentOS before it, Rocky Linux is based on RHEL, is cross compatible with RHEL releases, and is similarly targeted at enterprise applications. The Rocky Linux project will be developed and supported until May of 2029.
