Industry’s Fastest & Most Versatile PCIe Gen4 NVMe RAID Storage Solutions

SSD7500 and SSD7700 RAID AICs (add-in-cards) and Adapters are the industry’s fastest and most versatile PCIe Gen4 NVMe storage solutions. Designed to streamline NVMe storage administration, HighPoint Gen4 RAID series AICs and Adapters simplify the initial installation and setup process, secure critical data assets during RAID migration and storage upgrade procedures, and optimize your post-sales service and support workflows.

HighPoint PCIe Gen4 NVMe RAID solutions employ our high-performance PCIe Gen4 Switching Architecture, which delivers a class-leading x48 lanes of independent bandwidth; x16 lanes are allocated to the upstream port (connection to the host platform) and x4 lanes to each NVMe device channel.

HighPoint PCIe Gen4 NVMe RAID AICs and Adapters are more than just fast controller cards – they were engineered to serve as a robust foundation for a comprehensive, full-featured NVMe storage ecosystem. Gen4 RAID Series AICs and Adapters are equipped with our industry proven NVMe RAID Technology, Performance and Security Optimization solutions, and the industry’s most comprehensive storage Management and Monitoring suite.

High-Performance PCIe Gen4  Switching Architecture

Unlike ordinary NVMe controllers, which tend to rely on the host platform for PCIe bandwidth allocation, SSD7500 and 7700 series Gen4 RAID AICs and Adapters are capable of self-bifurcation; they directly distribute PCIe resources to ensure each NVMe SSD performs optimally. All they need from the host platform is a free PCIe 4.0/5.0 x16 slot.

x48 Lanes of Independent & Self-Managed Gen4 Bandwidth: SSD7500 and 7700 series NVMe RAID AICs and Adapters incorporate Broadcom’s industry leading PCIe Gen4 48-Lane PEX88048 switch chipset to optimize signal integrity, reduce latency, and maximize transfer throughput. This highly flexible, Performance-Focused PCIe Switching Architecture  is unique to HighPoint NVMe solutions and ensures bandwidth is never wasted. Each AIC/Adapter allocates a dedicated x16 lanes of upstream bandwidth and x4 lanes of downstream bandwidth to each device, and are capable of delivering up to 28GB/s of transfer throughput via a single PCIe slot.

HighPoint’s versatile NVMe RAID technology and comprehensive Management suite enables customers to scale storage configurations to meet the evolving requirements of the target application and workflow. All arrays configured using SSD series AICs are fully roam-capable; RAID arrays can be freely moved between one AIC to another while remaining intact and accessible, even if the original disk order is altered. In addition, Administrators are free to expand available storage capacity, and even change from one RAID level to another without sacrificing existing data assets. Learn More about HighPoint NVMe RAID Technology

Powered by Industry Proven RAID & Storage Technology

HighPoint’s industry-proven NVMe RAID stack has been designed to fully leverage the performance focused PCIe switch architecture employed by each Gen4 RAID AIC, and is capable of delivering up to 28,000MB/s of real-world sustained transfer performance using just four NVMe SSDs via as single PCIe Gen4 x16 slot.

Each Gen4 RAID AIC can accommodate one or more RAID arrays, non-RAID single SSD configurations, or a combination of the two, including bootable volumes for Linux and Windows based platforms. Administrators can fine-tune NVMe storage for a variety of applications; RAID 0 Striping to maximize transfer performance, RAID 1 Mirroring for data redundancy, or a combination of both via RAID 10.

RAID 0 (Striping) - Also known as a “stripe” array, this mode delivers Maximum Performance and capacity by linking multiple NVMe SSD's together to act as a single storage unit.

RAID 1 (Mirroring) - This mode creates a hidden duplicate of the target SSD, and is ideal for applications that require an extra layer of data security, including bootable volumes.

RAID 10 (Security & Speed) - RAID 10 offers a “best of both worlds” approach to storage configuration by leveraging striping with mirroring technology; two RAID 1 arrays are striped together to maximize performance. RAID 10 is capable of delivering read performance on par with RAID 0.

Cross-Sync RAID Technology: SSD7500 AICs enable administrators to optimize RAID performance by scaling available bus bandwidth up to 32 lanes, and deliver up to 55,000MB/s of transfer performance.

PCIe Gen4 Hyper-Cooling Solution

Hyper-Cooling ensures hosted NVMe media performs optimally by mitigating the risk of thermal throttling. The solution combines the industry's most advanced NVMe hardware cooling system with HighPoint’s proactive SHI (Storage Health Inspector) Monitoring service.

The hardware side of the equation leverages a full-length anodized aluminum heat sink equipped with one or more ultra-durable, low-decibel fans and high-conductivity thermal padding. This innovative, ultra- efficient cooling system rapidly transfers waste heat away from sensitive NVMe componentry without introducing unwanted distraction into your work environment.

SHI (Storage Health Inspector) enables administrators to instantly asses the operating status of hosted NVMe media via S.M.A.R.T. (self-monitoring and reporting technology), and customize temperature thresholds for each NVMe SSD.
