Advanced PCIe Gen4 Switching Architecture: Re-engineered from the Core!
HighPoint’s re-engineered PCIe Gen4 Switching Architecture sets a new standard for NVMe performance and scalability. Each adapter allocates a full x16 lanes of dedicated PCIe Gen4 bandwidth to the upstream port, ensuring maximum connectivity with the host computing platform, and x8 lanes to each of the four SlimSAS ports to optimize NVMe device performance. The innovative 2nd-Generation PCIe 4.0 Switching Architecture introduces a series of game-changing features.
Configurable PCIe Lane Counts enable customers to optimize the adapter for device connectivity or transfer performance to accommodate various storage infrastructure and workloads. The adapter’s customizable firmware can be configured to support as many as 32 devices via a single PCIe slot providing customers with unparalleled storage expansion capability and flexibility.
The compact, low-profile adapters are fully compliant with Industry standard storage backplane specifications including UBM (Universal Backplane Management) and VPP (Voltage Protection Profile), real-time storage health and connectivity monitoring services, and advanced storage communication interfaces like SMBus, I2C, MCTP, and SMC.

Advanced NVMe Cooling Solution
Each adapter is equipped with HighPoint’s Advanced Gen4 NVMe Hardware Cooling Solution designed to maximize the reliability and endurance of NVMe controller hardware and the Broadcom Switch ICs.
The passive solution is comprised of full-Length Aluminum heat exchanger and a ventilated PCIe bracket.
The PCB side of the heat exchanger utilizes an innovative system of copper piping to rapidly whisk waste heat away from the PEX 88048 switch IC and controller componentry to further promote longevity of the adapter hardware. The lack of moving parts and zero maintenance requirements are ideal for professional server and datacenter environments.

HighPoint’s 2nd-Generation Rocket 152x Series PCIe Gen4 NVMe Switch Adapters are purpose-built to optimize operational efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance the reliability of NVMe storage configurations.
